BP CFO and Finance Leadership Team

Need/Focus: Leadership Development, Leading Change, Stakeholder Management, Empathy and Insight

Immersive Experience: Interviewing Community Leaders from Migrant/Refugee groups and working with children from Fitzroy Adventure Playground

Testimonial: Recently Anne Fildes and Clare Walton, worked with our team to create a truly unique leadership experience. My Finance Leadership team met with a number of community leaders – all with different backgrounds – some of whom had faced unimaginable hardship – all of whom had chosen to use their experiences to emerge as strong leaders within their community here in Australia. These were stories of real leadership. The day helped my team really understand what leadership and choice are all about. The personal one on one experience of meeting and speaking with these leaders gave us a different understanding of leadership. A meaningful, powerful, fun way to really ‘get’ diversity and leadership. Thanks Anne and Clare.

Worksafe, Human Resources Team

Need/Focus: Team Effectiveness, Customer Centricity, Emotional Intelligence

Immersive Experience: Working with prisoners from the Judy Lazarus Transition Centre around work experience and employment opportunities

Testimonial: Workplace development/wellbeing initiatives are known to give greatest payback when carried out at team level. The challenge is to deliver programs that are innovative and engaging for employees while also hitting the mark in terms of cost effectiveness and the particular needs of the team/business. Our first experience working with Anne hit the mark on all levels. In hindsight Anne skillfully guided us on a significant leap into a complex development journey. Our team was coached well out of our comfort zone, which in the end led to real & significant growth, all centered around a day of meaningful and rewarding work with the team at the Judy Lazarus Transition Centre. A rich learning experience was had by all that attended due primarily to the time, planning and preparation provided by Anne, in her role as facilitator. Well done Anne, and thanks from our team for all your work in the lead up and on the day to create an environment for the magic to happen.

Jetstar – Leadership Development Program

Need/Focus: Leadership Development, Emotional Intelligence

Immersive Experience: Hosting an art experience with children from Fitzroy Housing Commission Flats (Homework Club)

Testimonial: I asked Anne and the team to create an experience which provided an experiential learning experience within an intense week long leadership program. Anne and the team created a fantastic event which worked with disadvantaged children at the Fitzroy Community Flats.

The event turned out to be the highlight of the program for most of the participants (all senior leaders) as it gave them a chance to give back while also re-enforcing the learning around emotional intelligence from the formal part of the program.

I strongly recommend an immersive experience if you want to bring alive and add positivity to a formal leadership program.

Former OD and HR Manager, Jetstar.

Other testimonials

The opportunity to work with the BP Elite team was invaluable for the students in my class. The chance to engage with people who show an obvious interest in them and their lives is a wonderful chance for them to recognise that people outside of their immediate realm care about them; this is in turn, boosts their self-esteem and sense of self-worth. Meeting with new people means that they can learn about social nuances in the most effective method of learning, learning by living.

Conversations such as introducing themselves and answering questions about their lives help them to develop their speaking and listening skills. Communication is key to success and the more children are exposed to situations where they are required to communicate effectively and appropriately, the more they learn about how to operate in the world.

The learning in an experience like the one we had on Friday carries on into their lives. We spent the week leading up looking at recipes and learning about the elements of a recipe and how to use them. They will spend this week reflecting on the experience. They are using photos from the day and describing what they are doing in each picture. This is helping build their vocabulary as they name different ingredients. It also allows them to learn basic language structures. Beyond this, it gives them the chance to reflect on the day and relive the experience and the excitement they felt.”
